MP3: New Mission of Burma! Wow!

Good thing post-punk pastors Mission of Burma are still around to teach us young folks how to do things. Since the band's reunion in 2002, they've been stringing together an impressive lineup of new albums, and there's no sign of them stopping.

This October, the band is putting out another LP, The Sound, The Speed, The Light. This track from it is a Conley concoction; anthemic and catchy, as usual:

I saw Mission of Burma for the first time at Toad's Place in 2004, after worshipping them for years, and it was great. I thought it was going to be a one-time thing-- I had no idea they'd still be keeping up a regular schedule of shows and releases this many years later.

One of the best live acts I've seen, and they're writing songs that kick just as much ass as their early stuff. So stoked about the new album.
