MP3: Kurt Vile- "Hunchback"

When Kurt Vile's Constant Hitmaker seeped into my ears, I was a little underwhelmed. So, imagine my surprise when I saw this guy getting picked up by Matador Records. Because of my faith in the label, I decided to give the Philly singer-songwriter another chance, and I found out how wrong I really was.

Kurt's music is veiled in a thin layer of lo-fi that gives his bleak, dreary rock songs a certain something. There's an almost maniacal element that hangs above this music.

Childish Prodigy is the album to look out for and October 6th is the date you have to wait for, but here's a track to hold you over:
